Set against the gritty glamour of Chicago, Beauty in Black follows two women on collision courses with fate:

Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams, Divorce in the Black, Snowfall) is a young woman fighting for survival after being cast out by her mother.
Mallory (Crystle Stewart, Acrimony, For Better or Worse)—a powerhouse entrepreneur running a thriving Black-owned hair care dynasty.

“The hair care business is huge, and Magic City is huge,” says Perry. “I thought, ‘What if those worlds collided?’”
