PlayMakers Repertory Company Unveils Star-Studded, Thrilling 2025/26 Season
CHAPEL HILL, NC – PlayMakers Repertory Company is set to dazzle audiences with its newly announced 2025/26 season, a bold and captivating lineup that explores power, ambition, friendship, and resilience. With six dynamic productions ranging from Shakespearean tragedy to heartwarming comedy, this season promises unforgettable performances and powerhouse talent.

One of the most anticipated productions is Macbeth, featuring PlayMakers’ Producing Artistic Director Vivienne Benesch as Lady Macbeth, alongside acclaimed guest actor Ron Menzel (Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Parisian Woman) in the title role. This electrifying reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic will delve into the intoxicating pull of power and fate.


Adding Hollywood star power to the stage, Emmy-nominated actress Sharon Lawrence (NYPD Blue, Shameless) and Beth Grant (The Mindy Project, Little Miss Sunshine) will headline Steel Magnolias, the beloved Southern tale of friendship, laughter, and strength.
